Being a vintage auto enthusiast myself, I know the value of a good garage!! I also know how hard it is to find a two-car garage in the first 20 blocks of Portland-Proper, and especially for $250K!

It sounds unrealistic, sounds like a chore, sounds like we’re gonna see a lot of each other, sounds like we’ll need a drink afterwards!

I’ll admit, it’sphoto 1 difficult and it comes with some opportunity costs that must be paid, but it does happen. In fact, it happened to Chris, and he couldn’t be happier! (See him being happy?)

Chris has a good deal of yard work in front of him, and not a short list of house repairs, but he has a solid 3 bedroom home, with huge ‘cooks’ kitchen,  a two-car garage for his fleet of vintage vehicles, convenient access to trendy Westmoreland and Brooklyn neighborhoods,  just a few blocks away from MAX and 99E. It’s a dream come true, and it only took two weeks!

It did take an open mind, a willingness for sweat equity,  a free schedule, perhaps a Realtor ready to jump in (and battle a few creepy basements, miles of granny wallpaper, and a strangely consistent showing of Thomas Kincaide Collector Plates!). But this renowned Chef got his three wishes: a large kitchen with tons of storage & plumbed for gas, a close-in “scooter-able” location and the dream garage of all garages!

Chris, you wephoto 3re so fun to work with I almost wish we hadn’t found it yet, but I’m so glad we did!  CONGRATULATIONS!! I look forward to drinking at the world’s tiniest saloon! (See Chris being happy with his sold sign?)
