With a revitalized downtown, the same gorgeous waterfront views as Dunthorpe and Lake Oswego, a fantastic redesign of the Milwaukie Bay Riverfront Park , a 6-mile re-purposed “Trolley Trail” walking path, a bustling farmers market every Sunday, and of course – the most amazing authentically vintage mid-century ranch homes on huge treed lots with pools, rumpus rooms, and basement bars! And all for a very reasonable price, with low taxes and all the amenities of living in Clackamas County, but merely 7 miles from the heart of Central SE. It takes a mere 10 minutes to get to DigaPony, or My Father’s Place, or Rejuvenation Hardware!! Heck there’s even a facebook site dedicated to everything awesome in Milwaukie: Milwaukie Rules!
And so, since I’ve been singing the praises of this town to all my clients for so long, you must know that I was thrilled when Stephanie and Andrew (prodded by their friends and old clients of mine Bud and James) decided to shop there! We found the most amazing one-owner ranch on very private half-acre treed lot, with a 1000 sq ft two-car garage, beamed wood ceilings, flagstone fireplace, darling vintage kitchen and baths (with pink toilet, no less). Sure, it takes something special to leave the ease of the city, but this house was something SPECIAL. They made a very smart choice!!
